Who we are
Our website address is: https://compedge.io/.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Creating a User Account
Various activities on the site may require users to create a User Account in order to save and edit their ideas generated during a session or to access company wide information. Visitors may provide an email, name, and password when signing up for a user account. Chosen passwords are always passed through a hash filter and never saved in the database. Passwords are not viewable by anyone.
Under the Hood, Back to the Garage or Heaven Sessions
When visitors attend any one of these three Session they will create a user account and add their ideas or responses. These inputs will be viewable in the session by other attendees. Inputs are connected to the user account to allow the user access to edit or delete their idea.
SLAP Survey
When clients conduct an employee wide survey of an organization or group within the company, they will provide an employee list with demographic details. Emails may be provided in that list. These employee lists are uploaded into our system and a unique field (usually an email address) is used to identify survey responses. Once surveys are completed, the responses are attached to the demographics for statistical analysis purposes and any sensitive personal information (such as emails, names and employee numbers) will be deleted from our system to preserve the anonymity of the survey.
Media
If a visitor uploads images to the website, they should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Contact forms
Information such as email, phone number, name, and company may gathered via a contact form. Information will only be used for the purposes of contacting the visitor.
